Case Study: LightSurf

LightSurf needed a solution for one of their clients that would allow the creation of a "picture postcard" from a photo taken with a cell phone.

Thuridion created a Flash based User Interface to compose the Picture Postcard interactively. The postcard is described by an XML template and user can update certain text fields within the template. An ActiveX® component controls the interface to the phone and allowed the pictures to be downloaded. Web Services were used to move the picture postcard and image to the LightSurf server where they could be accessed by recipients.
